Therapeutic Dance and Somatic Practice
Life Embodied
Classes, workshops, and therapeutic movement experiences, guiding individuals and groups toward embodied discovery through sound, space, and relational connections.
Move Sense Discover
In the realm of conscious dance practices, we create a body-based exploration of senses, creativity, and relational awareness.
Free-form movement emerges through sensation and improvisation—shaped by our lived experience and expressed in relationship with music, space, and others.
You are invited to join us through movement, stillness, observation, or rest.
Embodiment
Embodiment can be described as a form of physical mindfulness that encourages sensing and listening as sensation.
Each one of us, regardless of identity, ability, or circumstance, is embodied. Life in the human body is our nature. Nature is not only something that we imagine or visit outside of ourselves. We are the natural world. Being with nature is simply the act of turning our attention to our senses and biological experience.
Somatic practices are techniques or structured activities that guide our attention to the felt senses. Our experiential process with movement, breath, and perception can increase awareness of the body, mind, emotions, and Self. Exploration in the present moment can further stimulate a greater range or continuum of senses—enhancing our sense of embodiment in relationship with our personhood and the world around us.
Dance as a Living Practice
Dance is one of our oldest and most enduring human practices. It offers a sustainable and accessible way to sense the body, reflect on our lived experience, and engage the many dimensions of holistic health.
As we move, we cultivate awareness of sensation, perception, and the ways our experiences are carried in the body. This awareness becomes a foundation for choice, personal agency, and new possibilities.
Movement in community reconnects us to ancestral and relational ways of being. Through music, rhythm, and shared space, we enter a language that extends beyond words—a language that can shift perspective, deepen connection, reshape meaning, and affirm our shared humanity.
