About Roxanna

Driven by mystery, wonder, beauty, and the natural world, Roxanna has spent decades exploring the therapeutic notion of dance. As a dance practitioner and occupational therapist, her curiosity strives to understand the clear resonance between the science of our aliveness and our conscious experience of living.

Through conscious dance and somatic practice, Roxanna has learned to access sensation as a guide—to utilize movement, music, and space as an expressive and relational process. Dance as a therapeutic experience offers a multidimensional viewpoint, a way of sensing the whole person, qualities of energy in the body, emotional patterns, guided imagination, and possibilities for perspective taking, self-reflection, and personhood.

Roxanna has followed a lifelong commitment to teaching body awareness as a direct line to self and choices for living well. She deeply enjoys using the language of movement as an experiential process for healing, learning, and transformation. As an occupational therapist, Roxanna serves as a clinician in body-based modalities for holistic health, personal empowerment, and spirited well-being.

Based in Portland, OR, Roxanna guides individuals and community groups across the lifespan in dance and somatic practice, striving to host an experience that is accessible, creative, and uniquely inclusive to the expression and circumstances of all people.
